Use plain lukewarm water and a mild soap such as Woolite or Ivory.

Clean gently so as not to loosen any stones or settings. Do not use a brush.

Rinse thoroughly to remove all traces of soap. Soap dulls the luster of any piece.

Dry gently with a soft, clean towel to remove excess water.

Leave to air dry for several hours.

Never use strong detergents, ammonia, or alcohol to clean jewelry.

Protection
Take the following steps to protect fashion jewelry from damage:
Apply all hair spray, fragrance, and other spray cosmetics before putting on your jewelry. Sprays dull the surface of jewelry and may contain chemicals that can damage the finish.

Store each piece of fashion jewelry in a flannel bag, or wrap each piece separately in flannel or soft fabric.

Never throw jewelry into a jewelry box where it can get scuffed or scratched.
